Bobby made his debut in a NASCAR Tour-Type Modified at age 14 during the annual Speed Weeks at the New Smyrna Speedway in New Smyrna, FL.  Scored three top- 10 finishes and finished 12th in the final point standings.  Bobby finished eighth in his first 100-lap race, the Richie Evans Memorial.

Competed in a limited schedule in a 350 Super-Modified at the Star Speedway in Epping, NH.  Bobby has one feature win, six top-10 finishes and ran a track record that still stands.
Earned a track record in the Heavy B Quarter Midget Division for the Dirt Grand Nationals at the Hagerstwon Speedway in Hagerstown, MD.
