Bobby Santos NASCAR Whelen Modified Series Advance: New Hampshire Motor Speedway
Race: F.W. Webb 100
Track: New Hampshire Motor Speedway
Date: July 16, 2011

Tommy Baldwin Racing development driver Bobby Santos will compete in the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour (NWMT) at New Hampshire Motor Speedway this Saturday, July 16th. He will pilot the No. 4 Mystic Missile Dodge in the series' sixth race of the 2011 season.

NEW HAMPSHIRE MOTOR SPEEDWAY – Santos made eight starts at New Hampshire Motor Speedway (NHMS) and has an average finish of 18th. He collected two top-fives, four top-10s and led a total of 17 laps at the mile-track. Santos made his racing debut at "The Magic Mile" in 2006.

LAST RACE AT NHMS – Santos started fourth in the September 2010 race at NHMS and drove in the top-five most of the day. With six laps to go, Santos was heading for his second consecutive top-five at the track when the car behind him spun him heading into turn three. The accident abruptly ended a good run for Santos, leaving the driver with a disappointing 19th-place finish.

LAST RACE RECAP: THOMPSON – Santos and the No. 4 Mystic Missile Dodge took on Thompson International Speedway on Thursday, June 30th for the Budweiser 'King of Beers' 150. Santos posted the second fastest practice time and followed it up by qualifying third for the race with a time of 18.754 seconds. For most of the race, Santos ran in the top-four but was unable to challenge for the lead due to a tight handling car. Santos finished the race in fourth-place.

IN THE POINTS – After five races, Santos sits in sixth place in the NWMT Point Standings. Santos is four points behind fifth place and 117 points behind first.

Bobby Santos Quotes:

ON NEW HAMPSHIRE – "New Hampshire is always a race we look forward to. It's one of the biggest races of the year. We race in front of all the Sprint Cup guys, so it's exciting. We ran really well there last year and didn't quite finish as well as we wanted, so we're looking forward to a good run. I think we have as good a shot at winning as anybody."

ON SHARING NHMS WITH THE NSCS –
"You always want to do well in front of the Sprint Cup guys. New Hampshire is a big stage for the Modifieds. It's a lot of fun racing at the big racetracks. It would mean a lot to get a win while the Sprint Cup guys are watching. It's exciting racing with the restrictor plates and the drafting, so hopefully we put on a good show."
